Firma Product Group is an award winning Product Design and Development company based in Austin, Texas. The company has a consumer product focus and provides a unique business model for individuals and companies to commercialize their ideas and products. We provide a suite of services from Idea Evaluation through Development, Design and Prototyping and offer a back end Manufacturing, Distribution and Marketing avenue for our clients. Our creative financial business model is such that we typically design for reduced fees up front and take a royalty, or where appropriate, equity position on the back end of products.

Firma is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to add to its’ current pool of resources. This individual will be highly motivated and energetic, innovative and creative, possess a current suite of system and product development capabilities, have a proven track record in product development and have excellent interpersonal skills.

The key requirements are as follows:

- Minimum 5 years experience required
- Strong understanding and synergistic skills with Industrial Design
- Knowledge of tooling, manufacturing and production processes
- Strong solid modeling skills ( ProE / Wildfire / Solidworks)
- Experience and knowledge of plastics and injection molding
- Knowledge of offshore manufacturing processes
- Strong prototype and product sourcing skillset
- Excellent project management skills
- Versatility and creative problem solving skills
- Innovative engineering abilities

Given the nature of our business and the opportunity for exponential returns, the compensation package (negotiable), in line with our business model, will be a combination of salary, royalties and potential partnership interest in the company.
